Landi Kotal is named after the frontier pass at the edge of the Khyber — the place where the road runs out and the cooking begins in earnest.

We brought that spirit to DHA Phase 8: an open-air table, a slow fire, and a menu built entirely around the Shinwari tradition of letting meat speak for itself. Every dish here is made the long way. The Chainaki Gosht simmers in its own fat until the broth is silky and the meat gives with no resistance. The Karahi is dressed with ghee, not shortcuts. The Sajji — whole, slow, wood-fired — is the kind of thing you remember the first time you eat it and crave the next morning. We don't use masala to cover anything up. We use fire and time and good meat. We're at the main gate of DHA Phase 8, open every evening from 4PM. Come for one dish, stay for three. That's how it usually goes.
